3 Stars

This book is touted as “find your dream job with God’s help.” But I don’t  think it really lives up to the hype it sets forth on the cover. If one is truly looking for an avenue to finding their dream job, this book wouldn’t help them much.

To me this is more like a bible study about how to discover your calling in life. I think the whole “dream job” aspect just throws the reader off and makes them wonder why they even picked up this book to begin with.

I thought all the concepts were great considering this is a bible-based theory but I was looking forward to discovering how I could find my dream job. I already know what my calling is and that is definitely not the same thing most times.

I appreciate this book and its contents and I think it would be great for a select market if the whole “calling on your life” part was emphasized and not the “dream job” part.

Like I said, make this a bible study or a devotional and this would do gangbusters. But as it is, I think people might come away a little disappointed that the reason they found the book didn’t truly give them any advice  toward finding the job of their dreams.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.
